Once again, I am itching to re-decorate everything that has boringly sat in the same spot for nearly a year or more. Baskets, vases, window tinkers, flowers, books, plants, furniture, rugs, pictures, etc... And if I had some paint at my disposal....
I love to declutter, organize and decorate. Don't want it or don't need it? Simply pitch it! ....yes, I know, easier said than done. You pick an area, start going through the contents, make a pile of "trash," "keep," and an "I don't know," and before you know it, you are either overwhelmed with not knowing what to do with it all, or lost track of time going through old letters, drawings, and musing over memories. Before you know it, it's 5:00 and you don't even have supper going! (speaking from experience, here...)
I know many people who never change anything. They have their schedule and they stick to it, or they found a perfect spot for every possession they own twenty years ago, and haven't touched it since. I'm the very opposite. I'd rather something not have it's own place and just get rid of it, than to leave everything the way it is. I even had a hard time growing my hair out longer because it seemed to take so long and I wanted something "new." I don't think I'm generally an impatient person, I just love change.
I grab every home-remodeling/decorating/refurnishing magazine I see and flip through to get new ideas. I like 18 and 19 Century, Country, French Country and Traditional.
