Painting

I had an urge to be creative this afternoon. My mother dreads when this happens to me - which is quite often. I was eagerly searching for something to paint, but found nothing. So I pulled out my paper and started painting with random brush strokes of my favorite colors. I ended up with a kind of abstract piece, featuring swirls and twirls with grey, black and blue. I liked it! I do not usually care for abstract paintings, but this was an exception.
I am also currently anticipating the painting of my room. It is a small, cozy room with lots of light from my three 5 foot tall windows.  I know that I have the choices narrowed down to blue or green, however, there are so many different shades of each color. Blue is typically a cool color that you don't want in a room with less light, and green is warm. I believe that I will do a light, bright, blue, since I am also making a blue, brown, cream coloured quilt. My younger sister also shares the same room, but she goes along with most anything I decide to do differently with it. I thrive on being creative and decorating, but I know some people who get stressed out with it (including my mother). I'll have the entire living room torn apart and then sit down on the couch in the middle of the room and think about how to re-arrange it. It is so exciting to me to think about all of the possible possibilities of how to put the mess back together into something that everyone would enjoy. So this is me. Welcome to my blog.
